Kitchen Hardware

We are finally getting around to sprucing up the kitchen cabinets. The hardware came in yesterday and I am so excited. Do you ever find something while shopping and just know that is the perfect thing? That is how I felt about these. What do you think?

Other than changing up the hardware, we are also going to add some trim to the cabinet doors. Right now we have those flat panel door fronts that look like someone just cut them out of plywood. Blah. Have you guys ever done this? I have a sneaky feeling it is one of those projects that sounds easier than it actually is. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.
